Well, the Pick of the Week is well under way after the launch at midday yesterday. Here are the rest of the show times for the Brambly Hedge shows:
Here are a few more of my samples ...
Firstly here is a spring card, which is printed from the Poppy's Babies/Secret Staircase CD ROM. Along with your printed elements are the concertina elements to make your topper spring up from the page .. and the card still folds flat for postage! Centura Pearl base and kraft card for matting.
Here is another card I made using a topper from the same CD ROM, along with Die'sire classical frame dies and Embossalicious Rose Garden 8x8 embossing folder on Centura Pearl. I used one the backing papers for the bow and matted everything onto kraft, all available from the Crafter's Companion website!
On both cards I have used my Walnut Stain Distress Ink to 'vintage' up the edges!
Got a few more of my Brambly Hedge samples for you this morning. I try to keep up to date with what I am posting on Facebook but am lagging behind so here are my last three shares ...
The first is a bookmark card made with the Hunkydory kit along with some gems and ribbon, on a Centura Pearl base. I love how this turned out, and it is a great card for any reader!
Something a bit different for me is this T-shirt, made using one of the Fabric Companions from the Poppy's Babies/Secret Staircase CD ROM printed onto Printable Transfer Paper .. I love it! For either everyday wear or PJ's!
And finally for today here is a hanger I made, again with toppers from the Hunkydory kit, along with some ribbon and gems to make it look even prettier!
My second card is made using the Hunkydory kit and the 6x6 paper stack, which are also part of the release. I decoupaged the image using 3 sheets of the same image from the paper stack and used Collall Glue Gel for this ..
This is a stepper card made with a Centura Pearl base, using the template below, which Sara posted on her facebook page a few days ago ..
Butterfly die from Joanna Sheen
Gold mirri card
I use Collall All Purpose Glue for all my cardmaking. It sets solid making your cards nice and sturdy. Leann rightly refers to it as the best glue in the world. Once you use it you will never go back!!! It is available from the Crafter's Companion website!
Got some exciting news of a new launch from Crafter's Companion: the wonderful Brambly Hedge featuring four fabulous new collections!
This will be arriving on your screens as a Pick of the Week on Friday 5th September on that wonderful channel Create and Craft at 12 midday!
There are 2 CD ROMs, each featuring two stories - the first one is High Hills and Sea Story and the second is Poppy's Babies and Secret Staircase. As usual, the CD ROMs are jam packed and include:
•3D Decor Companions
•Tunnel Books I really enjoyed crafting with these, there are some gorgeous papers! One of my faves is the one I have used on this card, the largest piece in the background with the little blue flowers. So vintage!! Here is my first sample I am sharing with you, using the Poppy's Babies and Secret Staircase CD ROM ..
I used Centura Pearl for the base and matted everything onto kraft card. The papers are printed onto Printable Card, all available from the Crafter's Companion website! The papers, sentiments and topper are all from the above CD ROM. Everything is stuck down using Collall All Purpose Glue and Glue Gel.
Got another birthday card to share with you today that I made for my Nanna. I made it using the Barkley Everyday papercrafting kit from Crafter's Companion that was launched back in March. These Hunkydory kits are fabulous when you need to make a quick card that still looks gorgeous!!
Hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend! We went to visit family in Solihull and Newbury. Whilst we were down south we paid a visit to Highclere Castle, which is of course the home of Downton Abbey. We are massive Downton fans so was very exciting to be there and be in the rooms where they film! We could take pictures inside but here is a pic of this amazing building!
It seems to be a rare occasion these days that I post cards not from a launch that I made just because I wanted to or because they are for friends/family. I will hopefully have a bit more time for that now I have made the decision to take a break from work for a while .. I have not been that well recently and the stress of work was making me feel worse. Was a hard decision but sometimes you just have to do what is best for you and I know it is right..
So today, I tidied my craft room, which is up in the attic and even had some time to make this birthday card for my mum. And I tidied up after I had finished! Wondered how long that will last ... lol
So first, here is a picture of my newly tidy craft space ..
So, this is the birthday card for my mum, I love it!
Hopefully there will be more time for this! Hope you have been enjoying the Snowman/Snowdog shows on Create and Craft. I really need to start making my Christmas cards soon and me thinks some of them will be using that amazing kit from the 4 Day Deal, it is gorgeous!!!
